So I'll be getting new rims sometime next week and I'm very undecided on what to get.

So thought a discussion and vote on what would look better on a ke70 would be fun.

Both rims have gorgeous looks and have a well known history in the Japanese tuning market.

Either Rims will be ordered Front:R15 x 9jj +-0 Rear:R15 x 9jj -10

Either Rims will be wrapped in 195/50.

Let me know what you guys think and vote for what you think would look best.

If you have some pics of either of these rims on another car post them up.

My Thoughts:

Shackotan - Done by the famous ke70 of Grant Baker and don't want to be seen as a "copy cat", also maybe a little dull in looks???

Aleica - The rim pattern is very small with the lips moving towords the centres making the rim look not so deep.Pink would be screaming look at me !

Shackotan looks the best as its elements suit the character of the car. Clean lines, plenty of dish and the combination shows aggression :y: . Chioce two is too intricate, like a seat base off a wrought iron chair wrapped in a steel band.

the aleica's look better in photos than in real life i reckon.

infact, i reckon you'd be better off getting new alloy outers spun for your current rims if you want them wider. look heaps better than rota's.

there's a guy over east that does it. pm *E7* on ae86dc for details if you're keen

Neither, as they're both cheap knockoffs of classic (and very expensive) Japanese wheels.

Grant Scott's ae71 has genuine hayashi streets.

Was expecting something like this . First find a set, then out bid everyone going for them , then open your wallet , then get bent over and enjoy it.

Tried to dislike your comment and it +1 , o well.

Sometimes you can pick up a bargain, but yeah they can cost a fortune.

If I had to pick between those two, it would be the hayashi street copy.

hayashi still make both wheels brand new, not all that expensive either IIRC.
