i moved my first reply to roids70 question to his thread so not to hijack your thread too much.

you don't get boost at idle because you have a carb on the intake of the blower and on idle there is no air going through to boost (well a tiny bit for idle), mine has nothing but a air cleaner in the intake of the blower, so when the blower starts it sucks maximum air and makes around 5 psi at 1500 rpm.

Ok, I finally got round to changing the front brakes, as they were warped, and shuddered like a crazy freak!!!

Anyways, I now need to get the master cylinder done really bad, I think also something may not be tight, (I also changed to KE55 calipers) as the car hardly stops as it is, but I knew this was going to happen, so it's ok.

I also took this opportunity to cut some more springs for the front of it, and lift it up a bit at the front, it's now heaps more comfy to drive in. And it sits alot flatter....I am very happy with how it sits now.

Some pics, there is also some pics of the front springs I had in it, and also how shiny and hot my brake rotor is hehe

Nope, they don't rattle, nope I don't have the cable tied in.

Last night was the first time I have EVER had one make any noise, or move, or do anything unusual....and I was umm...let's just say, not driving like a normal person...And all the spring did was move around a bit from where it sits normally.

So long as the car is on the ground they don't move, if I jack it up, they fall sideways obviously.

The new ones in the car now are only half a coil higher than those ones.

when i had my ke30 i cut the springs on it, but not quite to the extent of yours. i used to get them to rattle quite a bit, but then again i was a pretty wild driver. used to kane it on dirt roads and get it airborne on a regular basis. :jamie:

My cars have a great fear of dirt roads haha...even rough-ish tar roads pose a threat.

I am quite aware of how bad my setup is for handling, but it's how I like the cars to sit. So I have to suffer the consequences.

I am going to do a full suspension upgrade on this car this coming year though, so it wont be able to sit quite so low. Hopefully it will still look ok.

yea, i know where you are coming from. what you need to do is get a set of guards and cut out the wheel arches, lower them and weld them back in with a filler panel above. a bit of rooting around, but it would make the car look a lot lower, but enable better handling at the same time.

Not a bad idea.

I think though, once it's painted and actually looks nice like Xany's car, instead of rough like it does, it wont look so bad a bit higher. Just when they are a bit rough around the edges I reckon they look tougher on the ground.

But it will be good to be able to go around a corner without either body-rolling off the road, or bouncing off the road hehe
