Hey just curious what the most effective and cheapest if possible setup is eg ae86 steering arms etc as they're is so many different ways you can go. Would be good to hear from people from experience. basically I want more lock and a little bit more neg camber nothing overboard the car is a 4age ae71

Easiest is lock spacers, but for lots of lock we modded the knuckles on my car and lengthened the lower control arms (for more camber).

I now have rediculas amounts of lock when sliding.

power steering arms + lock spacers seems to be the good option for your steering.

camber - camber plates is the best option, then you do away with the rubber top as well.

or cheaply you could get some camber bolts (offset bolts), ive never used these on ke70, but i don't see why they wouldnt work. (come standard on alot of cars, so you may even be able to get some from the wreckers to suit)

When you say powersteering arms do you mean ae86 ones? and do you mean camber plates as in ones that go at the top of the front strut towers? Cheers

ae86 power steering arms. Yes, camber plates are at the top of the strut and bolt to the tower. You can also use GH sigma LCA's for added camber.

Yea cheers I heard sigmas run ridiculous camber like 4 degrees but the xt130s give camber but not too much yea? If so I'll get xt130!! do u have to have different lcas to suit the ae86 steering arms anyway?

No my steering doesnt bind. i modified corona lca's because i didnt have enough camber ;) s13 lca's are heaps longer also.

Yes an alignment is needed, though i havent had one just did it by eye and its working well. I do have bump steer issues being so low but hey it looks and goes good :)

I have modded ke70 lca's +21mm and corona power steering arms all works well together and gives around about -2 degrees camber and lowered to top of the tyre level with the guard

With a good wheel aligment I have next to no bump steer and it's quiet tame on bumpy roads

you may find -2 is a bit to much on standard street tyres.

i had -2 for a year or so, and with daily driving (i did like to take corners....er.....enthusiastically) on 195/50/r15 kumho ku31 (pretty good steet tyre), i still got inside wear on the front tyres.

-1 deg with federal 595 RSR tyres yeilded very even wear across the front tyres.

add a few deg of castor with -1 deg and it makes for happy handling and tyre wear.

just my oppinion anyway.

while we are on the subject of camber .. what is a good amount of camber for drifting, before it gets to the point where its just pointless.. i'll only be going to about 20 drift days a year. i already have ae86 struts and am trying to keep it on a budget till i can afford camber tops, so I'm just looking for an easy bolt in control arm.

also i remember reading a while ago a thread that had a list of control arm vs. camber in order. anyone know where this thread is ?
