LittleRedSpirit Posted April 25, 2013 Author Report Posted April 25, 2013 It was more thickness that was the issue for me, with the std fans which are bulky and the extra thick core it was too thick by a mile. This aw11 unit is a bit thinner. Quote
19914afc Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 Yeah wasn't a problem for me haha. I just cut things out of the way to mount it on an angle have to put fans on outside though haha. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted April 27, 2013 Author Report Posted April 27, 2013 Soda blasted the itbs so they look half decent. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted May 11, 2013 Author Report Posted May 11, 2013 Ive since bought some polishing wheels and shinyed up the itbs and a few of the alloy items in the bay. I'm considering buying a different timing cover from a USDM 2azfe that is smoother looking and doesn't have the engine mount threads on it. Its probably a lot lighter without all the alloy you need to hold the weight of the motor. Plus it would polish up like chrome. Ive also removed the seats from an rx-8 to go into this car. The drivers is electric adjustable. Super comfy and retro looking too. Kinda styled after Porsche seats. There isnt a whole lot of other stuff I can use from the rx-8, although I love how the rear suspension just drops out of cars these days as a unit, it makes it ever so tempting to try and graft it into another vehicle. LittleRedSpirit Posted July 18, 2013 Author Report Posted July 18, 2013 Just spoke to my fabricator. I'm looking at getting my coilovers back this afternoon. Nothing stopping me once that happens. Shit will be rolling. Terry if you read this give me a ring when you can, we need to flare this girl to suit the southernways. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted July 27, 2013 Author Report Posted July 27, 2013 Alright. I now have the coilovers back. Looking sensational. Just need to find the right gland nuts with the finer thread. Going to paint em up today. Quote

LittleRedSpirit Posted July 28, 2013 Author Report Posted July 28, 2013 (edited) I'm planning to go and visit a good mate who has a sandblasting cabinet, so that I can clean up the caliper brackets, rotors and rebuild the calipers with his help. Edited July 28, 2013 by LittleRedSpirit Quote
