Crowie55 Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Just grind the NISSAN TWINCAM 16 VALVE off the cam cover and tell your mates its whatever you want it to be. Free yourself from engine racism! replace Nissan with the word Toyota and tell everyone its a 4agte :P Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 (edited) Cannot be engineered in qld. Unless you have an engineer in your back pocket. So as mentioned, talk to an engineer in your state. Edited August 25, 2011 by oh what a nissan feeling! Quote
caibs Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 still a bit of info on toymods re; 3rz intoi ke3x. flip and rebaffle sump is the hardest bit. one end mount fits straight in, the other needs 40mm cut down. Std manifolds fit under the bonnet. Mx5 mounts for the box. Cut hole further back for shifter. Then its a matter of converting fuel lines and pump to efi, pedal box converted to hydraulic system, tailshaft mod to fit whatever diff you want to use, wiring, etc. Havent don't it myself btw, just quoting from memmory. BUZ440 Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 Its not about knowing an engineer, if you do it properly and work with an engineer they will sign it off, It is their name that can be tarnished, and be served with severe penalties In saying that there is a TG gemini with a 1J in it, yes the years differ from ADR's I have a mate who is puttin a 2J in a 1200 coupe and will look to be signed off And there is an LS3 KE70 getting around Redcliffe also, If you have the money any engine can put put in any car, also look into the ICV laws also, Quote
love ke70 Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 exactly, they would all be ICV's, you can't do it under the blue plate laws... but 3RZ is the way, how did they go height wise in the 38? very long stroke on those suckers... Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 Last i heard ICV is currently unavailable in qld. 2jz 1200 coupe, um tell I'm hes dreamin' Quote
love ke70 Posted August 27, 2011 Report Posted August 27, 2011 since whens ICV unavailable? i always thought it was... Quote
caibs Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 supposedly the stock manifolds fit no worries in a ke3x, as written by rodi/curly himself. Quote
