Su'S On Webber Manifold ?????

Sooooooooo is it possible to put SU's on a webber manifold for a k motor?? They look very similar, as in the mount shapes.

Maybe if you used 4 su's, but they wouldn't fit side by side.

Su manifolds aren't that rare or expensive, just find one! ;)

The bolt holes are 76.5mm apart, and the carb must be angled to make the fuel bowl vertical.

Not a very informative webpage! Some engine designations would be useful.

 

As far as I know Lynx don't make SU manifolds for the K engine any more, so there will be no new ones again.

Waste of time trying. Weber/Dellorto manifolds are 4 to 4 ports. SU manifolds are 4-2 ports. Adapting 4 SU's will be a nghtmare.

 

If you're that stuck either go for Weber/Dell setup (one for sale at the minute, 150 per carb+170 for manifold = 470 bucks which is a reasonable price)

 

Or hand make your own SU manifold.

Mine have the swivel fuel bowls, and i thought it would be interesting to try but i might just find the right manifold :)

Wow that is funny as. Dude these manifolds do not come up often. Pay the man his 100 bucks and be done with it. Trust me,I looked for a long long time.

i think this is one of those, 'suck it up' scenarios.

 

i never knew that about the SU's needing to be on an angle in order to make the fuel bowl vertical. makes sense though.
