nz_83_dx Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Hi, I am looking at buying some ssr longchamps for my ke70. They are listed as 14 inches +6 offset 6.5inch wide, with 175/60R14 tires. Will these fit without flaring guards or rubbing? And yes i have searched and am lead to believe they will fit, but just wish to confirm before I spend large sums of money for them. Thanks. Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Yes they will fit, While we all here whats the biggest wheel with offset before the rim start to rub the inside of the arch's or suspension? Quote
ke70dave Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 it all depends on wheel width as well. i had 14x8 zero with 186/60 on back of my ke70, was reasonably low (just above legal), still scrubbed with (what i consider) a fairly good go at rolling the guards. (limited damage to paint) going the other way, there is plenty of room on the back, on the front though, 15x6.5+23 hit the struts on my ke70, was fine on ae86 struts though. Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 15 x 9 -10? I have 14x 7 +2 and they don't rub my struts on the front :hmm: Quote
rian Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 going the other way, there is plenty of room on the back, on the front though, 15x6.5+23 hit the struts on my ke70, was fine on ae86 struts though. So this must mean the stub axles sit out further from the strut tube one an AE86 than they do on a KE70? Another reason to upgrade to AE86 struts? Wider wheels? Quote
ke70dave Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 yeah could be. can't be much in it though. Quote
nz_83_dx Posted August 12, 2011 Author Report Posted August 12, 2011 Ok, the deal fell through on the 14's. Now looking at 15's Will 15x6.5 +5 offset on the front, and 15x7 +10 offset on the back fit without hitting anything or for the need to flair guards? Thank you for your help! Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Yup no issues they may need a roll though depending how low you are Edited August 12, 2011 by blzbub666 Quote
nz_83_dx Posted August 12, 2011 Author Report Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Trying to find rims that ovoid rolling and flaring if I can Ill have a measure up tonight and see what i can fit, Cheers for the help Edited August 12, 2011 by nz_83_dx Quote
19914afc Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 T18's must have more clearance on the rear or something, I have 13x8 neg13 offset with 185/60 tyres and they fit fine no scrubbing. Also have same on front but have neg3 camber and lotso castor :) Quote
ke70dave Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 depends on tyre mostly. 15x7 +13 with a 195/50 fit pretty good on rear of my ke70, needed to roll the guards a bit though. Quote
nz_83_dx Posted August 12, 2011 Author Report Posted August 12, 2011 does this look right.... So if I'm correct, that means that the rim will stick out 7.89cm from the hub? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) https://www.rsracing...tech-wheel.html Edit just did the math and you are correct. Edited August 12, 2011 by blzbub666 1 Quote
