langdon69 Posted August 3, 2011 Report Posted August 3, 2011 Hi all, just a bit of a strange question i guess, is it possible, or worth while, putting a 2zzge and 6spd box into a 1989 AE-92 corolla seca? vehicle currently has a small port 4A-GE , it's original engine. Just an idea one of my mates put to me today. Any info/thoughts/opinions appreciated Quote

Thirteen13 Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 that ae82 looks very impressive. I reckon an ae92 would hammer, i saw a stock sportivo the other day with 2zz and he gave it the beans and sounded unreal, unlike any other 4 cylinder screamer ive heard. Sounded so good and the thing absolutely hammered Quote
19914afc Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 They sound better than v-tec engines IMO, wouldn't be too hard to fit one, custom mounts, drive shafts + the usual stuff that goes with engine conversions. Quote
Redwarf Posted October 14, 2011 Report Posted October 14, 2011 Having recently ogled a friends 3SG AWD bug eye corolla, I can now state that anything is possible. Quote

rollamods Posted October 16, 2011 Report Posted October 16, 2011 in a RHD AE92 you need to change the brake master setup to an AE102/AE112 setup with external bias valve, same as I did in my AE82. If you don't then the head/belt tensioner ram hits on the brake master. Also need to mod the shift cable bracket to get the cables sitting at a decent angle as the ZZE bracket leaves them pointing upwards. Once I finish the 2zz AE82 I've got an AE92 here that's getting a turbo 1zz, mounts etc are basically identical to what's required for a 2zz. Quote
