camorinta Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 Great looking build ... Next car i do will go for this look.. :D tough Quote
Jordain Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 Needs a little bit more primer, then I can give it a squirt sometime soon.. Picking up a 4K motor for it on Friday and the 5 speed gearbox is getting delivered on thursday night. Hopefully I can get the engine bay painted by sunday and have the motor sitting in the car with the 5 speed attached... then I can start on the exterior of the body! :bash: Hopefully I'll have it running as soon as I can get it going because in a month I get my P's in a day's time if I pass hahaha! Another picture since you all loves pics haha! Quote
Timofee Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 This is awesome. Great inspiration for me and my 55 project.. AWESOME!! good luck with it all aye :) Quote
Jordain Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 Cheers Tim. You will be fine the the KE55.. Panels are cheap, don't waste your time fixing old ones. Find a overrated set of panels and just bolt them on! Quote
abbott Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 I am so excited about this car man. hope it works how I imagine it! Quote
Jordain Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 input is welcome haha.. What's your ideas? I plan on painting the engine bay a dark grey with some sort of crazy pearl since I really can't be bothered doing the multicoloured bay and it'd look funny with a stock 4k on bike carbs sitting in the bay.. Might do that for the Beams10 haha!! Quote
Mitch-12 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 i like silver for engine bay's our supercar is silver and it looks so clean and just plain awesome would be mad with like a pearl or something through it for a street car Quote

Find a overrated set of panels and just bolt them on! rear quarters.. I'm thinking fibreglass for them as i don't have a welder anymore and neither does my father inlaw.. And ideas mm.. Well i got my hands on some cheap candy apple red back in the day for my crown. though now I'm not going to waste it on that.. I have the black primer, silver base and the apple red for top. Thinking its sat for long enough i might use it on the rolla.. hahaha :) will have enough to do it 3 times over :) Quote
Jordain Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 Something like that or this but abit more glossy with some cool pearl to it! Quote
abbott Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 I love the look of the black rear end and white front. stupidly low with some 13x7s Quote
Mitch-12 Posted August 16, 2011 Report Posted August 16, 2011 i like the top picture more, its almost the same as ours Quote
Jordain Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 I'm leaning towards the bottom picture. I think a lighter bay is abit different and will suit the colour I want to paint the exterior of the car down the track. Quote
Doogs Posted August 19, 2011 Report Posted August 19, 2011 Love your plans mate, nice to see a change. The wagon in the top right of this pic is sick! Quote
philbey Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 Cool another Wagner. Nice. That some angle grinding without glasses going down, nice work! Haha. I spent 4 days in mad pain with a bit of crud in the eye... I was wearing glasses at the time. Quote
Jordain Posted August 20, 2011 Author Report Posted August 20, 2011 big block chev haha! Sperm-man, etching the bay out High build primer Chip guard on the little panels *white bits* Colour!! I decided on a light grey in the end  4k with quad carbys :blinks: Interior painted tomorrow, Engine bay together and then hopefully a 4k and 5 speed sitting in it asap! Jordain Quote
