zacharyo Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 Okay well honestly i love the rear tailights on r31 skylines, and i was wondering if i could put them on my ke70, i know i need to cut a bigger whole maybe weld plates etc probably rewire etc but is it unroadworthy if i do ? it's just something different and I'm sure it hasn't been done before so I'm really interested, like really interested. any input would be really helpful ! zachary Quote
5k_ke20 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Grab a tape measure and head to your local wrecker. Find out if they will fit. Then talk to your local traffic authority about the legal side of it :) Quote

And i'm pretty sure if i have a proper bracket that its roadworthy, I'm unsure about the rewiring but thanks mate zachary Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Use all your original wiring, shouldnt be a drama. I actually considered doing this. But I think they will be too big to suit. Plus skylines are ghey so why ruin a rolla with the lights. :P Keep us updated if you decide to do it I'd be keen to see the results :y: Quote
Jono.C Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Pretty sure they'd be too high.. and Ke70 ones are wider i think Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) Id cut the whole bit surrounding the lights out and weld it in. Edited July 28, 2011 by blzbub666 Quote

BlueKsev Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 I don't know I'm pretty sure it has been done. A mate of mine was thinking of doing it to his and he said he knew someone who just cut the metal surround out of the 31 and welded into the Ke. Never seen it about though. And the lights may look too big for the ke70 as the 31 is a fair bit wider but give it a go man just for something different :) Quote

I'l most likely go through with it, i'd like to know if there are any other tailights that will look good but its hard cause the ke is so square. Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 I was contemplating ae86 tail lights in a Ke70 Quote
