aerolla93 Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 hi guys, OEM ae93 corolla, and i have no idea, where to start with it, performance. or looks? any pointers? cheers nick Quote
19914afc Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 Keep it std and drive it! otherwise 20 valve conversion would be alright. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 Depends on driving experience and cash flow. If you're inexperienced hold off on the engine mods and tinker with the looks. If you don't have much cash and have to use the car as a daily again stick to looks. If on the other hand you have enough cash and can handle something a little more powerful look into a 3SGE or 3SGTE  Quote
TroysRollaSX Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 Can I suggest handling and brakes in addition to performance and looks? New rotors, new brake pads, new fluids all through (brake fluid flush, clutch fluid flush, oil and oil filter, coolant, air filter), AE101 gear shifter stick, stiffer rear sway bar, slightly lower and stiffer suspension, new good tyres, maybe remove the pipe feeding air to the airbox from behind the headlight and use the correct size flexible tubing pipe to feed air into the air box from behind the front 1/4 by removing the baffle that is under there. Not much of that is particularly sexy (ok, asides from the suspension), but with all that done you're sure to notice improvements, and it will drive more like a new car. And a lot of it will be worth doing no matter what other plans you decide to do later down the track. Also, none of that is particularly expensive or hard to do... Quote
AE92-4AFC Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 15" rims. 2" exhaust with a 2.5" tip. You can get the doors reupholstered in vinyl for about $100 a door. LED lights. Power crank windows. Sound system. Shaved doors. You can as far as custom fiberglassing the boot. Bucket seats. Custome dash. Push start ignition for around $100 for an auto eleccy plus $20 for the button. Reso mats for quite ride. That's just a couple of things I can think off. At the end of the day you can do anything cosmetically to the car but it's best to put thought in and do it in your own personal style Quote

B.L.Z.BUB Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 What is your funds situation. How handy are you with DIY car stuff. This is pretty open ended bro. Unless you want stupid responses (I'm surprised everyone has been so civil so far) I'd give a bit more info. Or better, search Google and this site. Look for other cars like yours and find things you like about them and come back and ask questions about this'd things. Otherwise a flaming will be had :y: Quote
