abbott Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Hey guys this is a stupid question but I got a ke10 with a 4k in it and carbys rooted so bought another one (thanks Ryan) and the linkage is different to the old one, that had the ball and cup kind of thing and not sure if it's a different cable to suit the 4k/5k style linkage? Because can not see in anyway how it would work. Anyone got any hints to modify my cable? Sorry it's a bit of a riffraff question! Cheers Tom Quote

GJM85 Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 u should beable to unbolt the old link n put on other carby .. surprised it has a different link allready They new carb probably takes the cable linkage that resembles the brake cables on your pushbike. Quote
Jordain Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Yeah unbolt the circular linkage of the carby and bend the tab.. Works fine, Did it to mine! Quote
philbey Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Can you swap the actual linkage on the carby across from one to the other? I can't recall, been a while since I looked at a stock carb. You can probably get a new cable made up with whichever end connection you like, although I've not researched anyone local. What about getting a later model cable off a 4K car, also an option. Good question by the way. Quote
