tojo2 Posted February 1, 2013 Author Report Posted February 1, 2013 7ke and 7kc have different port shapes of manifold & head so not a good match as is. If using a different ecu than original, I belive you need to use a programable aftermarket ecu Quote
praphank Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 I know what your after. Its the circuit diagram of the ECU and its sensors etc. The manual i have doesn't have it as such, but it does cover the pinouts on the ECU and the sensors. Its the full workshop manual for the 7k, its about 52meg in size. Can see about emailing it to you if you want it. I want the full workshop manual for the 7K pls help to sent me by email as below.Thnaks you [email protected] Quote

HasithaR Posted April 17, 2022 Report Posted April 17, 2022 Hi Guys, I am looking to fix a check engine light to 7KE Ecu. can you please tell me if E5 pin 10 is the correct pin for the check engine ground? Does anyone have any information on all pin numbers and their purpose? I am not an expert so please pardon. thanks. Quote
Banjo Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 (edited) The full 7KE workshop manual, is available on line. It is described as July 1995, on the cover. The file is about 52Mb, so quite large. It is a bit "grainy", but readable. From my reading thereof, the engine check light is connected to pin 10, of plug/socket E5. E5 is the smaller of the two sockets on the rear of the ECU. I trust that assists. Cheers Banjo Edited April 19, 2022 by Banjo Quote

So i opened and cleaned it. 10 Connection pin is marked as W. I think this will work. Will try it this week end. I read somewhere that the chk engine light is grounded through this pin. hope i will not burn anything... Quote
Banjo Posted April 19, 2022 Report Posted April 19, 2022 (edited) You've done a good job at cleaning the PCB. However, that harness wiring, & plugs look like they have "had a hard life" ! Let's know how you go. P.S. If you are concerned/worried, that you might short the "Check Light" solid state switch, inside the ECU; you could always disconnect the wire on terminal 10, & connect a small watt 12 volt bulb, with the other side to +12 volts; or just use a 12 volt test light/probe. Your "best friend" electrical tool ! Let's know how you go. Cheers Banjo Edited April 19, 2022 by Banjo Quote
