Heath. Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 hey guys. how would you shorten a ke70 front bumper?? i have the flat front btw. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Cut it, make new mounts. It'd be a c**t of a job. I thought about it but modifying ke30 chromies ended up being easier and cheaper. Both front and rear for $100. The problem with the 70 plastic ones is they have a metal frame underneath. So that will need to be modified too. You could remove the plastic and cut it shorter and mount it some other way. No one does it because its not worth it. Unless you really like the look of them but want them shorter? Quote
BlueKsev Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Stuff the Ke bumpers the plastic looks shit compared to chrome ke30 ones are good but i think the Xt130 front bumpers look modern Just unbolt the plastic end caps and cut an inch or so off each side an put them back on. Drill four new holes for mounting an your done. Picked mine up for $35 Quote
KENut Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 (edited) Usually people just butcher the steel underneath and cable tie the chopped bumper back on Doesnt look real good up close Edited June 24, 2011 by KENut Quote
