dieselrolla Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 i saw on the forums that these are kind of rare! ;D they're pretty much ke70's with a higher roof and the 1C diesel engine pic is when i first got it and still had L plates :lolcry: has an auto gearbox but i'm going to convert it to manual when i find a decent gearbox/pedal set etc. for it Quote
Oh-KE Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Cool. I love that front end. Where are you located? Got any plans for it other than manual conversion? Good luck! Quote
dieselrolla Posted June 22, 2011 Author Report Posted June 22, 2011 thanks man! well, i was going to get blocks for the back and some super low king springs for the front but then i had a quick look today and the suspension in the front doesn't look like it has springs (looks kind of hydraulic?) i'll have a proper look tommorow though. i'm from Christchurch in New Zealand so it gets really dirty all the time from the liquefaction from the earthquakes lying round xD other than that so far i've chucked some tints on, jvc head unit, speakers 800w sub etc. painted the dash and interior of the doors red and white with vynal spray which looks kinda cool, i'll get some more pictures up tommorow! abbott Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Could be a torsion bar setup? This makes for an easy lowering but not sure of performance with lowering them! Quote

Keen as on more pics bro! hey man, love your car! i read the whole thread on it last night and it took me two hours :o thinking of doing mine matte black too, would be a fun job! i'll get a picture of the front suspension tommorow too if anyone wants to help me identify what type it is also, any one know any easy mods i can do to the engine to increase it's power? altezzaclub Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Adding LPG seems to be the best bang for buck with a diesel. Cheaper than a turbo, simpler & has similar power increase (20-25%) According to a comparison in a 4WD magazine between turbo/LPG/re-chipping for Landcruisers and Patrols. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 You can LPG as diesel? Learn something new every day. Quote
Evan G Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 wind the boost up and fit a intermacooler Quote
abbott Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 It's a mixture of LPG and diesel so when it combusts it burns better, cleaner and more efficiently it's pretty awesome actually! Quote
