Big thumbs up :D to the Scottzmotorsport team, who sucessfully changed a gearbox and clutch in under 15 minutes, up at the rally at Jimna.

Gotta be happy with that!

99 did hugely well with 2nd in class, 4th (!) Outright,

Tony had a very average day with two blown gearboxes, and electrical issues. I don't know where he came Outright, but I know he came 2nd in class.

We had a good day, although we snapped the exhaust at the extractors, and did a stage and a half at 3000dB. I couldn't hear for an hour after! Looks like a good time to get new pipes and exhaust.

Fook and Ralph were doing well, until they did (I think) a driveshaft in stage 5.

Nice to hear!! I love watching a service crew performing miracles out in the scrub!!

You think an F1 pit crew has it sorted... Wait til you see a WRC service crew go to work!!

Oh, for a second there I thought you put a rotary in the dwarf :)

Yes, we broke a driveshaft, front left actually :) Oh well, learnt lots and had lots of fun, and that's what's important.

i've just discovered we have managed to get 3rd outright for the series as well. even with the yesterdays result. not sure what our outright finish was but 2nd in class is a bit of a surprise.

Rob and Wayne done a fantastic job, and to hear Mel(99) got 4th outright is fantsatic also.

Hat goes off to Teddy who done an outstanding job on the car, being the first time working on it.

if he hadn't been there i think it would have taken longer.

it was a good effort by all Rollaclub members who were there.

we found what is wrong with the T50 box and it wasn't that bad.

the bolt that holds the front layshaft bearing in had come undone and was siezing up the layshaft.

good news for us, just change the bolt and in it goes.

but we are now looking for some parts for a K50 gearbox, if anyone has one in bits please PM me.

thanks.

and this is what happened to the K50 box. this is the first time this has happened to us.

What was it like navigating for Ralph?

ps. I also have to mini-brag about my honourable mention as most .... umm..... spectacular(???) into the Ponderosa speccy point. Don't they know a Scandanavian flick when they see one dammit!!!

It was okay, I think. Different to anyone else I've navigated for, but neither in a bad way nor a good way I don't think, just different. And I can't even pick out how it's different, it just feels different. Then again, that probably has to do with the fact that it was a whole different sort of event too, dirt rally navigation is so different to tarmac rally navigation...
