hey neil they are the calcs i used so i should be around 14psi with my big pulley on my charger and more as i go to my smaller pulleys and once ive caged it I'm going to win the winton sprint series in junior class

also i put my front arms in today LF has to be 12mm longer to have the same camber on each side so RF with arm adjusted all the way in has 15mm difference from to to bottom dunno what it is in degrees and LF 5mm with same length arm so something bend i guess or do they have different length arms or some shit

i have thought about the costs involved to convert it to a circuit car and i decided that if i wanna race circuit i will just drive the supercar and leave the rolla for dirt only

Mitch we all race our cars for fun so if you have a great fun day taking it for a fang around the track one day who cares if some people think it doesnt look shiny, i think it looks pretty dam tuff and you have achieved the look you were aiming for. I'd love to see how it goes round winton, of course I wouldn't get in it with you behind the wheel coz your a crazy ass driver...but I'd still like to see it and race you :rolls:

I think thats an excellent idea.

 

The 70 is obviously good at what it does, but I think you were in for a world of hurt if you took it circuit racing.

 

Rob, I disagree here. I think a well presented car is a reflection on how you do things. And the same as you , I've been around for a while, and we both know neat, well presented cars attract a lot less "official" interest, particularly at the track where scruts tend to be more anal than elsewhere.

crazy ass driver true how do you feel for the person in the passenger seat when I'm driving a 650hp v8 supercar haha i might take it to winton on a tampered day on road tyres just to race rob but thats about it mostly stay on dirt too much to change to lower it and needs brakes etc but ill do a few laps to race rob one day

Either your car is bent, or the crossmember is bent, or both.

 

I've had this before and it was fixed with a new crossmember, and a bit of massaging of the front rails.

 

A bent tower will also cause this.

all possible with what i put it through x-member looks good i have a spare and towers look ok ill take some measurements off the red car and see what i can find

It's hard to explain, and I don't know if the 70 is the same as the 25, but here goes.

 

The crossmember on a 25 is not flat on the bottom. The shape is sort of bowed, concave shapeif looking from underneath.

 

After many years of rallying, fairly high spring rates (due comparitively low clearance) and really shitty QLD roads, it kind of flattened out on one side, therefore pushing the "flat" side out, thus more camber on one side for equal length LCAs.

 

This also spread the rails about 10-15 mm, and the holes on the new crossmember didn't line up. A chain block between the rails and a quick pull sorted this.

 

I'd also measure between the tops of the towers on the red car as well, as I've had to spread them out before too.

ill measure the tops and see if the cross member fits and see what i can do i might be making a strut brace tommorow

 

If you haven't been using a strut brace, the very first thing I'd do is measure the towers on the two cars.
