B.L.Z.BUB Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Put it in the middle, but put a sports muffler on the end or you'll go deaf. Trust me. Quote
Mitch-12 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 i have one on my rally car a 2 inch one i have it backwards so it does nothing just makes it legal so i don't know how loud it would be with it forwards Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Hotdogs are generally straight-through resonators, not proper mufflers. You will still need some kind of proper muffler to get even remotely close to legal noise levels Quote
Evan G Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 (edited) dw about that bs! get a Hyundai excel center muffler and remove your corolla rear muffler and weld the excel one in! great note. silent when cruising in 5th!. prob not legal but its awesome best $20 spent. and keybanger proof :D Edited June 7, 2011 by Evan G Quote
KENut Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 What the other guys have said^^. Without a proper muffler on the end you'll go deaf. hot dogs take out some of the droney note, make it a bit deeper. My worked 4K had a hot dog and a decent sports muffler (no idea brand/model), it was tested at more than 70dB at 20+ metres!! When I had passengers they complained about not being able to hear anything :lolcry: Quote
Andy43 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 If you want to hear a 3k with hotdog only, login to www.nyoraspeedbowl.org.au You will hear it just as you login. OK for a speedway car but on the street to load BTW that's my 12 year old driving coming out of turn 2 Nyora speedway , But he was 10 when I sampled that. Cheers Andy Quote
rollake70 Posted June 7, 2011 Author Report Posted June 7, 2011 hahha yeh ive got the resonator then straight through to the cannon! what a drone. i used to like it but now I'm after a relly good sporty deep sound. ANY TIPS??? apart from a hotdog. thanks for all replys too guys Quote
Evan G Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 (edited) excel centre muffler fitted to the rear of the corolla. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150288577171258 sample if that works ^^^ Edited June 7, 2011 by Evan G Quote
Oh-KE Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 Put it in the middle, but put a sports muffler on the end or you'll go deaf. Trust me. My setup is similar to this. I find it pretty fun for short trips and it sounds good, but for longer trips it gets annoying. Especially cruising at 100km/h for long periods of time. It SUCKS. Can't hear music and at the end of the trip your ears are ringing :bash: Quote
