SLOTH Snr Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 I am taking the motor out of the ke70wagon and have stuck a problem. I have released the clutch cable from the arm on the side of the box but i can't remove the end to slide it through the bell housing. On the ke 35 & 55 there was a slot in the fitting that the cable slides out off. This is not the case. It is always these stupid little things that stuff me up. Anyone anny ideas HELP.....please Quote

SLOTH Snr Posted November 5, 2005 Author Report Posted November 5, 2005 I'm at the other end. Why unhook it from the pedal? :D Quote
kangaroosa Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 Do you want to keep the cable? If not, just cut it. But i am sure there is a more reasonable procedure. Like mikey said - can you unhook it from the clutch pedal and then pull the cable out from the opposite direction to what you normally would, with a ke30/55 Quote
SLOTH Snr Posted November 5, 2005 Author Report Posted November 5, 2005 Sorry for doubting you Mikey The cable looked the same as the 35/55 cable but as we all know LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING :D Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 i meant unhook it so you can have more slack...... you should see how daisy's cable runs.....LHD.....still comes out on the right side Quote
SLOTH Snr Posted November 5, 2005 Author Report Posted November 5, 2005 Thanks MIkey and kanga The ke 70 had to be threaded from the other end. They must have got bored at toyota. They took something simple and made it more complicated I LOVE YOU GUYS TOO! Quote
love ke70 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 ok sounds like uve got it out now but my experience when i took mine out was that the end that actually went onto the gearbox came off leaving just the metal end, and if u could force the little rubber boot thing thats around the cable end of the cable before the metal attachment to the gearbox thru the hole in the bellhousing it would come out, may be wrong tho, it was a while ago and wasnt payin alota attention lol ~andrew~ Quote
