radrollaz Posted June 23, 2013 Author Report Posted June 23, 2013 Hi guys, just thought id post an update on the rolla. Interior is nearly done just waiting on carpet now which should happen soon. finally put my sun visor on which gives daisy a more old skool look. managed to break the standard S2K tail shaft joint , luckaly it comes off easy and was an easy fix. looking into something stronger atm. they use uni joints in the states so might go that way. it took a 9000rpm flat change into second to brake the carrier bearing but its a weak link in the drive line in a standard s2k as the bearing cage brakes into pieaces and bearing try to exit the housing. check out pics ! enjoy. 1 Quote

orangeLJ Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 Nice job on the painting, does your missus paint? or did she have it done? Quote
radrollaz Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 she got it done here in sydney, we met a guy at a vw show a few years back that mainly painted cars. Quote
Robski Posted August 12, 2013 Report Posted August 12, 2013 WOW Mick, The engine looks so clean and the car looks as though it was built with that engine in it from the factory. Can't wait to begin my next project (first Rolla project). I'm still tossing up between the tried and tested SR20DET or the F20C. I have loved the V-Tec and their Mild/Wild Cam for some time now so I am leaning that way. Possibly picking up a 4 door KE30 on Thursday, fingers crossed. In all a thorough build that you should be very happy with. Quote

Thanks mate i appriciate your feedback, id have to say the sr conversion is cheaper and easier aswell as having more power. f20c is harder ,more expensive but its unique and is fun to drive. hard choice really.
