LittleRedSpirit Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Got to help a 90 year old woman with a broken down ke70 today. Got that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you do something like that. I even gave her a lift home and recommended a mechanic. It shocked me that literally hundreds of idiots just swerved around her as she was broken down there and ignored her. She was stuck on the steepest pain in the ass street in an auto and had been there for 10 minutes when I came along. City people, hang your head in shame. It took a country boy to man up. 2 Quote

Its because 90% of the population knows jack shit about cars these days, even to the point of not knowing how to user jumper leads or open a bonnet. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Yeah, the poor lady was too frail to pull a door lock up. She was never going to be able to even get out in 2 lane traffic like that, let alone wrestle a manual steer ke70 to the kerb. If she pumped the brakes and used the vacuum there'd be no stopping her since she could definitely not push the pedal hard enough. Hope she is all good, her house was starting to look tired and smell like she is getting a bit old to take care of it, the yard is very overgrown, bit of junk laying round and a musty smell. Might pop by one day and fill the ute with trash n branches so she doesn't slip and hurt herself. 2 Quote

LittleRedSpirit Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Makes you think. I've driven along behind people like her for ages and gotten myself really frustrated in the past, so it makes you grow some empathy when you see how sweet an old lady like this is in person. Life's not easy at that age, its your job to help if you can really, that's what makes us human. You'll appreciate this kind of thing when you're the one who is 90. Ill be hanging back and giving the oldies their space from now on methinks. Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 Wired my first van. Passed with flying colours both 240 and 12 volt. All that wiring on peanut pays off. Quote

It's_AUDM_Yo Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 WMMH - big mac with quarter pounder patties, thats how maccas should make them How is that not even a thing? Do they still do Mega Macs? That was 2 patties + 2 patties. Quote
madKE35coupe Posted June 6, 2013 Report Posted June 6, 2013 How is that not even a thing? Do they still do Mega Macs? That was 2 patties + 2 patties. That was called the pounder. I think for health reasons they axed it....but you can customise your order Quote
carbonboy Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 WMMH - Having a late night on a Friday & still being sound asleep when the the phone starts ringing & wakes me up at 9:30am on a Saturday morning. This doesn't actually make me happy, this usually makes me rather grumpy & rapidly decreases the callers life expectancy. What does make me happy is that they were calling to inform me that they had located some good condition, cheaply-priced semi-slicks in a 14" size. WOO HOO!!! Quote
