Getting older.

 

Was trying to suss out a noise in the seca on the way home from the folks last night (after playing Racecars :D ) was speeding (seemed that it was only making the noise in 5th) and running over the little reflectors in the middle of a two lane divided road

Came into the round about a bit quick, turning right, VE sitting going the opposite way, decides to come in behind me...

 

Looked in the rearview, thought, that is either the dark grey VE that lives up the road.... orrrrrrr.....

 

Then I'm thinking, ohh poo, I know the brake light has been playing up (bad contact, needs a whack every now and then to get it working again)

 

Slowed down for the speed humps (I'm only about 1k from home, had just turned off the main road)

 

 

So slowly slowly, indicate here, indicate there.....

 

Red and blues....

 

Licence check, as soon as he looked at me, my licence and the fact I lived just over the hill, he didnt even look at the fact that the brake light was out, the plastics are missing in the rear (fixing a leak) and that its illegally low

WMMH - Got my Uni-exam results back today!

 

Practical - Water Supply: Pass, Practical - Drainage: Pass, Practical - Gasfitting: Pass, Practical - Mechanical Services: Pass, Practical - Roofing: Fail, Practical - Sanitary: Fail.

 

I'd hoped for 4 out of 6, so pretty happy right now. I know how I failed those 2, just re-sit them at the end of the year now & not make the same mistake twice. :D

 

The $h1tty bit is I still have to wait until the end of the 4 year period before I get registered (i.e become "fully qualified"). Meh, beers! :drinks:

Yep one go, Too loud, too low, wheels too big, too much track, steering wheel, seat belt, seat and then it went on to more serious things such as leaking fuel and etc. I was counting day the days till this happened. The car really is just terrible.

^ Sounds like a friends Turbo 31. Wheels too wide, Tires undersize, Tires bald, Too Loud, Too Low, Too much track, Not engineered for coilovers, Seat, No adr steering wheel, Not engineered harness, Non secure exhaust, Not engineered for turbo conversion, The front mount was "Hazardous" even though it was behind the front bumper.. Brake light out, He had a hydro with no mechanical brake as well, They just assumed it had a weldy by the way it parked when they pulled it over. Pretty big fine for it as well..

 

So in short he reshelled it, Sold it and it was rolled within a week.

 

Pretty idiotic really, Used to remove cats eyes when you changed lanes!

I have a feeling them assuming it having a locker would have been the least of his worries.

 

There is a reason why certain things aren't allowed on the road, Shitty R31's doctored up 'flatcap motorsports' is just one of those reasons.
