It was going to go into the WGMG thread but I'm now happy due to finding a corolla shell for cheap! YAY my car will be revived. Its only taken 2 years to find a shell that won't break the bank.

Having a small issue with the immobiliser of the Clubby, so no, this does not make me happy.

A flat bed was sent to pick up the Clubby for fixing. The driver of the tow truck took a look at the Clubby

and said "jezus mate, you've looked after this, it looks new". Thanks mate, I say proudly.

He then looks at the Corolla sitting next to Clubby. "Shit, look at the Corolla, bloody hell it looks new too".

This bloke made me feel 10ft tall.

 

Ring the dealer in the arvo to see whats going on with the Clubby.

"Jeez mate, this Clubby is a credit to ya". "I've never seen one this vintage in such good nic".

Ow shucks, thanks mate I appreciate the kind words.

"Yeah, apparently you've got a bloody sweet Corolla I need to see as well?".

 

If I ever see that silver tounge, sweet talking muther f***er tow truck driver again I'd probably hump his leg.

I still got a grin from ear to ear. Great day.

Can agree with this 100%. Even when Nissan owners start saying its horrible and how their cars are so much better, right until they sit in it and actually feel the ride.
