prodigy Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 (edited) This post is dedicated to Box Corollas. (KE70/TE71/DX/L/GL/GLS,etc) I met this guy named Frank Oliver, he started the Box Toyota club in the 90's( not sure when can't think now on the top of my head.) The club ranges from box front, slant front, and lift back rear wheel drive Toyotas. The progression of the club is determined by the crowd it attracts and the passion they have for these cars. So far they have ventured to events around the Cape, even stretching up as far as Atlantis, Bredarsdorp, Ceres and Worcester. Members from all over the Cape have united, and the love for these cars are every growing. The club is ever growing, and is slowly starting to get exposure... These are pics Ive added from a recent meeting : Hope all of you like it :) Heres an article about the club :) http://boostsa.co.za/blog/?p=1065 Edited May 31, 2011 by prodigy Quote

altezzaclub Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 LoL! When I was there those cars were brand new and none of those guys were born! Those were the days of the Cape Coloured Motorsports Club rally club, probably most those guys Dad's were in it, and when Serge Damseaux was just starting to win rallies in a BDA Escort. I navigated for Nick De Waal a couple of times in the Toyota Works liftback. Nice work prodigy- Quote

He fetch me from the hospital when my mum gave birth to me, using his car 1.3L Sprinter that he bought out of the box. His been telling me about the history of these cars, especially how much they costed back then. R6500 brand new, Currently they selling for nothing lower than R25 000. :) Edited June 1, 2011 by prodigy Quote
