gday lads i have a 4kc slant front ke70 with an unknown dizzy, not sure if its bosch or denco, because the labels worn off, and i can't tell whats what, anyways ive discovered theres around 3 or 4 differnet types of distributor caps. ive grabed a bosch **366 cap off the shelf, it is a touch to small, and doesnt have the notch in the cap that the dissy needs. The cap that is on the dissy now, is much to large for it, and just manages to push down with the clamps. ANyone got a dizzy picture, or what cap theyve found works? cheers

can you drive the car?

if so, take it to beenleigh bearings.

theyre on logan river road in beenleigh, they have something to do with autopro i think, but trade as beenleigh bearings.

if you take the car in, and say, i need a dizzy cap for this, i can assure you, they will have the correct one on the shelf.

Ive had the same problem in the last 2 days with my '55 trying to get the correct cap (fackheads at repco). Fuelmiser should make a replacement for either bosch caps. The nippon denso caps are smaller, and don't have the lip that sits over the dizzy. Best thing to do is to walk into the shop with the cap in your hand and get the right one. Good luck mate.
