Spencer[RL] Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Hey Mate What car we talking about? I was a little to tall for mine but when I changed to some autotechnecia seats was little lower. Quote
Figjam14 Posted May 25, 2011 Author Report Posted May 25, 2011 hey mate, talking about a ke55 and a ef xr8...also in dads rodeo. I'm driven my brothers pursuit and mums ve ss and I'm fine in those tho :S Quote
Toy-Yoda[RL] Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Too tall for an EF? Jeezuz boy, how tall are you? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) I was looking on eGay yesterday and they were selling ' drift rails' which lower your seat by a couple of inches. My autotechnica seats alone dropped me about 2 inches. Or install a sunroof ;) Seat rail link For ke70 but you get the idea, might be able to be modified. Edited May 25, 2011 by blzbub666 1 Quote
jono1986 Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 I'm 6'4 and my coupe has room in it for me, even the backseat can take my height. Quote
Figjam14 Posted May 26, 2011 Author Report Posted May 26, 2011 I'm 190cm, only 16 too haha :P i don't have any problems in any other cars thooo i drove like 10 little gay fwd cars today and had plenty of room evan in whatever the 4age turbos came out in. ill have a look into those drift rails cheers mate :y: Quote
Oh-KE Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 I'm about that height too mate and I fit alright. But definitely on the look out for a better seat as I find the lower back support to be extremely poor in these cars. A lower seat would be good too. Jono the back seat of any rolla I have been in is about as comfy as trying to fit into a dish washer! Sure you can fit in, but not well. Even if they are a 4 seater they are still only a 2 seater disguised as a 4 seater. Quote

And if you are 16, why are you driving V8's and "4age turbos"? Good luck m8. Quote
Figjam14 Posted May 26, 2011 Author Report Posted May 26, 2011 I'm thinking off cutting the rails down and rewelding them? yes no?? Quote
Redwarf Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 I worked with a guy who was 204cm and he drove an EF..... Quote

Hiro Protagonist Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 I had issues with fitting into the driver's seat of the KE55 (I'm 6'2") until I realised that it was only sliding halfway back due to the rear inside seat mount (the one with the cone welded to the frame) being detached from the underside of the car and bending the rail, plus one of the rail bolts had come loose and was jamming the slide. Fixed both and it was fine :P Knee and head room is always a slight issue though, out of all the cars me and Cara have had ironically the biggest (the JZZ30) has the least amount of room, due to the electric seats making you sit up too high and the sunroof eating into headroom (plus the sound deadening in the firewall means that you lose about 30cm of legroom too :P) Quote
ke70dave Posted May 27, 2011 Report Posted May 27, 2011 maybe you have your seat too close to the steering wheel? I'm 180cm, but i think i have quite long legs... i find in the ke70, with the standard ke70 steering wheel and seat, i can hardly move my legs as they get stuck between the seat and the wheel.... fixed that by getting a recaro which sat a good 80mm lower than stocko seat, wasnt even a "low mount" rail, just modified the standard rail. and i got a nardi wheel, STACKS of room now. running an ae82 twinky wheel now, not quite as good as nardi, but certainly a whole lot better than the stocko one. even the s15 i can't quite get my legs under steering wheel to do "heal-toe" properly. might look at a recaro for that one day...more moneys.
