Hiace 3Y Gearbox Suits??

just had abit of a read in the FAQ/wiki section but didnt help me to much so i was just wondering in the old hiaces with the 3y engine, do the gearboxs bolt up to the k or a blocks if so is it worth it as i am guessing they'd be geared different beening a van

they bolt upto 3sge 3sgte 1mzfe if u change the bellhousing u can get it to bolt to 1jz 2jz 7mgte 7mge 1ggte 4age 4agze 3tgte 2tg but it will be a g series box and there weak so i wouldnt bother id just sell it off to someone with a hilux

T-50 mate or w series if your building a powerful motor but that will be more complicated!

is it not a straight bolt up, do you have to change the bell housing?

Yeah basically a t50 is a bolt on job but the w series aren't

T or W series behind a K motor both need appropriate bell housing!

yeah but if you read the third post it asks what box behind a 4age! but yeah no doubt about that for a k engine.

Me too, just didn't want the guy thinking any old t50 will fit either ;)
