JordyKE Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Just wondering what throttle cable will work for a Dell'orto sidedraught carby on a KE26? Thanks. Quote
ke30 driver Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 have to custom make linkages. Or take the throttle wheel off standard carby Quote
Chillin Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 If a ke26's does not have the length, try a ke70's, i have been recommended this a multitude of times. Quote
JordyKE Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 I can't a picture up of it for some reason. but i need a knob on the end of the cable to fit. The KE26 one sits over a knob on the body/throttle control. Will the KE70 throttle cable fit this, like with a knob on the end of it? Thats what i'm basically after. And i'll work it out from there. I just haven't had time to get down the wreckers yet. Quote
TE278U Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 use the ke26 one if its long enough, wrap the end of the cable around the ball on the carby and cable tie it to itself. it's semi dodgy, but will work for quite a while. keep spare cable ties in glovebox. Quote
bAKER Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 I made mine up with the Throttle wheel from the standard carby, and welded it to the linkages on the dellorto. ke70 cable one will definitely work, length is good. Quote
JordyKE Posted May 23, 2011 Author Report Posted May 23, 2011 Alright so turns out the throttle linkage was taken off a ke70. So went to the wreckers and got one thankfully. So now its in, adjusted and ready to go. THANKS. Quote
