SLO-030 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Find a cheap 5K, lock the diff. then take it somewhere far away from civilians and get some practice of how to control it. Down the track, look at upgrading your springs and shockers. Possibly look at coilovers and bigger brakes. Then start looking for more power, you can try forced induction K engines, The 4AGE family, SR20s, CA18s, 3SGE etc. Anything that isnt going to bolt straight in (All in the list except the K engines) is going to cost money and lots of it, if you can't do ALOT of it yourself. Evan G Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Commodore v6 in a corolla is pretty front heavy for not much gain.. in a ke20 rethink your reply? :blinks: Quote
t18drifts Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 t18trystodrift - increase rim size would mean higher speedo readin than I'm really going. so 50kph power slide would turn into 110kph slide. like your thinking bro! thanks slo-030 will do. brb :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: Quote

JJT036 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Just like many other's have said, I reckon just lock your diff, throw in a 5K or 7K, get those drift lessons, and practise on a track, that way you're not witnessed by residents of an area, and you're in the goods. I'm a 15 year old. I know what is a good corner to drift and what isn't. That was taught from my old man (Woz) -- who back in the day, drifted any corner he came across. He is now 41, and settled down, and now teaching me the do's and don't's of drifting, that way I'm not wrapping cars around poles when I'm start driving on my L's. But yeah, Locked Diff, 5K or 7K with slight work (maybe Weber and a Cam), and go from there. :) Josh  Quote
Crowie55 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 Yeah evan and? you proved it fits. thats all.. you driven one? felt how front heavy and uncontrolled they feel without decent suspension work? Falcon springs $80 Have you ever seen an 18 year old drift king? no! v6 in ke70 will still do the job and cheaper than any other option, He'll have fun, learn how to drive(we hope), learn what happens when things go wrong(in a safe environment = track) then get sick of "doozing skudddzz yooooo" After 6 months of screwing around with the gay drifting fad he'll grow up.
