Millaz88 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Ok I'm buying a ke70 this week Now I'm going to buy a set of 12 slotters and redrill them to fit and stretch some tyres on and flare the guards now I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me what would be best I have 2 options 1. A set of ford rims with dished rears and nondished fronts with pre au ofset 2. A set of hz rims I don't know the ofset but they r cheap but I don't know if the ofset will work does anyone els know? Thanks guys Quote
TE278U Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 ford are the 5x114.3 so you can use one of the ford holes as one of your toyota holes. pre au offsets for sure. hz will have to be redrilled from scratch, and you will be best welding up all the holes first. hz offset will be similiar to pre au Quote
Des Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 1. A set of ford rims with dished rears and nondished fronts with pre au ofset Non dished fronts with pre AU offset ? Pre AU is close to zero offset so there will be dish, AU is closer to +36. Quote

Make the wheels weaker Quote
xy500 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Non dished fronts with pre AU offset ? Pre AU is close to zero offset so there will be dish, AU is closer to +36. pre au's vary wildly, pre xe is close to zero, xe to au can be anything inbetween. Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 if you love your ke70 you wont do it lol. Why? Quote
7FOUR7 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 i couldn't think of any rims that would look worse. just my opinion though Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 so he can still love his ke70 and do it? i only kind of like mine but I'm going to be using them for skidders. beats sliding with shitty stockies Quote
Millaz88 Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Posted May 2, 2011 I just wanna stretch some tyres on them amd roll on them for a while tile the mrs allows me to buy some nice 14x8s but they will do for now much better then the bog stock 13" steels Quote
Taz_Rx Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 If they're only temp wheels then maybe do yourself a favour and look at some cheap 13/14 4x114 alloys as well. Might cost a little more than slotters but you won't have to worry about re-drilling. There's always something in the fs section Quote
Millaz88 Posted May 2, 2011 Author Report Posted May 2, 2011 Nah I want to flare my guards out a bit while they are on and lower it to suit in still a while from new rims so unless someone can point me in a good direction to get some sweet rims that are wide enough to get some good stretch for like $500 I'll be keen lol P.s my idea was going to paint the center black and the rim polished still also the car is light blue :) Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Hurricanes from AJPS are $250ea for 14x8 -10 brand new. which is a good price! 14x8's arent cheap since every man and his dog wants them Quote
ke70dave Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 are these 12 slotters made of steel? cause they are going to weight a ton. sure you may think they look cool, but they will be rather detrimental to the handling of the vehicle. Quote
Grand Master of Awesome Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 look cool handle well choose one. Quote
