86ONE Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Hey all, haven't posted lately... cuz i've been fixin me rolla, so i can drive it again! I was bein silly one night and my second cuisin suggested i try a handbrake in the Nundah tunnel, near Toombul, so i tried it... My conclusion: Speed + Turn + Handbrake + Cement Wall = Damage. Luckily because it's only a KE70, i got away with repairs cheap... Front left guard + bumper + grille + radiator shroud (never had one ^^) = $150 from Kellys Wreckers (Castledine). Rear quarter damage (didn't get any pics of front damage :(): $20 on matt black Export + a few hours later: What you guys think? Not too bad for a 1 person job? :D Quote
Jason Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 did you learn you lesson :D a rubber mallet and some bog shoudl help with the rear end Quote
Tiger Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Panel Beater on the run.... I like the idea!! :D hahaha Good stuff.... but yeah, them cement walls are pricks... They jump out of nowhere, I tell ya now!! hahaha Quote
Nitephyre Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 (edited) You pulled your handbrake on in that tunnel? I'm sorry, but that's just goddamn f@$king stupid, luckily no one else was coming (I assume?) On a lighter note, the repairs look alright for on the cheap. 86ONE Posted November 7, 2005 Author Report Posted November 7, 2005 (edited) Yeah, i learnt my lesson, don't attempt handbrake slides, IN TUNNELS! LOL :) NiteP]-[yRe: No other cars were behind me, it was like 4AM on a Sunday morning. :) I actually prefer the oldschool front end, and i <3 the black bootlid, looks like oldschool rice drifter style, lol! :( Just gotta get the damn headlights mounted more securely, panelbeat & respray in a nice light blue (but keep the bonnet and bootlid black). :( Edited November 7, 2005 by 86ONE Quote
