Hey guys,

I'm after a rear swaybar for my KE20 and as far as I can find, Whiteline have now stopped making them. This leaves me with a few options; try to track down a second handy, pay $$$$ for a custom one, or try and find something else that will suit.

I have heard that a rear swaybar to suit a KE70 may fit with custom mounting to the boot floor. Can anyone confirm this for me, or give me dimensions of either bar?

Cheers,

Dougal

Ran a Selby rear bar for a KE35 on mine till I got sick of it. It wasn't registed to just ran allthread to mount the bar to the body with a couple of plates to take the load off the floor.

Just be careful, found it turned my 20 into an oversteery bitch at speed. I'm talking full oppy lock in third on the local autocross track. Then I was running some different front end settings and a locker......

Whiteline bought out selby sway bars and aren't doing low volume stuff. The selby brothers have opened a new shop "signiature stabilizer bars". They can be custom ordered too. I got mine from my local Peders.

Hopefully thats just due to the weldy then Colin...

Thanks for the tip Stu.

Dropping the rear bar tamed it down some, a new pair of rear tyres did too.

i have fitted a rear swaybar to my 30... and i spend countless hours out in the hills...

i can say from my experience that adding a rear swaybar does increase its tendancy to oversteer... but..... i could definately steer around the corner alot neater and quicker. i found that without a sway bar you had

more of an idea when the car was gonna start oversteering. once the sway bar was fitted it is much harder to tell.. could almost say it 'snaps' now.

i think its worth it to fit on a road car.. i'm actually thinking of getting an upgraded rear bar to make the car sit more level than it does now...

a ke20 i belive would react very similar.

Personally, you would be better getting the front right than to worry about the rear end. Much more effective IMO to stiffen the front bar up and leave the rear alone.
