corolla_bitten Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 hey all. Was cruisin the other day when a volvo pulled out in front of me rolla :harhar: and i had to slam the brake pedal. Then the rolla veared very quikly to the right. (Only does it under heavy braking) Ive checked the pads and they are all within .5mm in thickness. the discs are good. And had the brakes bled. Is this a pressure problem all maybe wheel alignment? Ne help muchly appreciated. ;) Quote
Teddy Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 Wheel alignment and Wheel Balance, get them both checked out asap! Quote
Felix Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 hasn't got a leaky rear wheel cylinder? Quote
Super Jamie Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 could unevenly adjusted drums make this happen too? my ke35 always pulled to one side really badly, i know the front brakes were good enough and the system didn't leak, balance and alignment were done multiple times. i adjusted the drums myself on that car and i suck at doing drum brakes. i had the rear brakes adjusted profesionally on the ke25 and it was solid and straight under heavy braking (which it did quite often) Quote
Xany Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 yup, mine has always pulled to the right under heavy braking, i think its because of the rear drums as well....cause i've had multiple wheel alignments and it still pulls to the right. Quote
corolla_bitten Posted October 23, 2005 Author Report Posted October 23, 2005 sweet fellers, ill check all of the above. the rear brakes i thought were ok, but on closer inspection may be shot. the handbrake isnt to crash hot either, that uses the normal rear brake shoes doesnt it. :harhar: Quote
Felix Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 all corollas from ke2x on have self adjusting rear brakes. Quote
demuire Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Must remember that the adjusters work when you're reversing only :D Quote
