SLOTH Snr Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 When the 7k started playing up a mate suggested i take it to the guy who built his golf motor. It is John Rawson Tayell automtive East Bentliegh Vic Does anyone know him? Are we in good hands :harhar: Quote
kangaroosa Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 I know him. He made my "phantom grip" style LSD for my Corolla. He's a very nice and helpful bloke. He actually had a Rally prepped KE35 for sale last time I was there. It had maily Celica running gear from memory. I highly recommend having a chat to him, to at least find out if he can help with the 7K project. SLOTH Snr Posted October 22, 2005 Author Report Posted October 22, 2005 I know about the LSD's didn't realise this was the guy. I guess i have choosen ok The corolla he has is running a 3t, celica box, corona suspension He wants $2500. It sounds the goods as a cheap entry level competition car. Quote
kangaroosa Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Is this where you are getting the 7K hotted up? I didnt think he had the machinery to do engine reco's. So he has still got the Corolla.....he was trying to sell that 2 years ago. He's still a top bloke to deal with regardless. :harhar: Quote

You could do club level motorsport with it, but you couldn't rally it, not with a 3t. Quote
dysolve Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 cams wants you to at least keep the original block.. for full on rally but it would make a great khanacross car.. Quote
Redwarf Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 It'd be an excellent club car.... Quote
