rollas-r-us Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Hey, Just wondering if anyone had a rough idea on how much engine parts are likely to be. All these parts are going onto a 3k. Cam, double valve springs, lightened fly wheel and then getting a carby rebuilt/tuned.. Any help would be awesome Cheers Tom Quote
corolla_bitten Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 hi there, your not giving us much info, but a tighe cam regrind can go for about $180, to a full designed to your specs about $1000. double valve springs (y bother) heavy duty about $140 a set for my 4k get your original fly wheel machined down about $120 carby depending if you want a rejetted end rebuilt 3k carby about $300, or a downdraft webber, $200 2nd hand - $550 new, or twin sidedrafts %500 2nd hand - $1800 new my last dyno for twin webbers on the dyno cost $350. Hope this helps, dylan Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Hi, Very broad question what is your budget? As JUN still make 2kg flywheels for K motors at $1300 a piece when I last got my hands on one so what is your budget we could be spending a lot on one part? Also how good are you at rebuilding carbies etc? I did mine twin side drafts cost $1000 to rebuild alone with new EVERYTHING got an awesome result but well worth the effort. SO again with side drafts I think sky can be the limit when you start to factor in tuning etc. Cameron Quote
rollas-r-us Posted April 11, 2011 Author Report Posted April 11, 2011 Thanks very much, yeah sorry about the lack of information and depth. Budget is as little as possible, but the information that you gave me was very helpful. Thanks again Tom Quote
