YLD 10S Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 Hey, Thinking about getting a new set of wheels, says they are 15x8 and with an offset of 25+. Will this fit on my 1981 ke55 sedan? And how do you check without physically holding the wheel under the arch? Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 I would personally go through some build threads looking at what wheels they used and how they sit on the car  But I'm guessing R15x8 would fit if you use the right tyres maybe 205/50? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 +25 sounds a bit FWD ish. I'm unsure of how a 55's struts work. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/50132-finding-my-offset/page__p__513405__fromsearch__1#entry513405 Try that link, I was in the same boat and got some good advice and those offset links are awesome. Remember when you go to an 8" rim you need to get the next stage of tyres. If you stick with 7" you have the world at your feet with 195/50's. Or do the fully hektix stretch with ya tyres MF. :blinks: Quote

19914afc Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 195/50R15's on 8" wide isn't too much stretch, most people run 185/60R14 on 8" wide 14's. Quote
KE30=LEGENDARY Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 on my ke55, i can fit 16x8 38 offset on the rear, no rubbing, but the rim hits the strut on the front, having said that i can run 14x8 20 offset on the rear, and not on the front coz the rims fowl on the part of the caliper for air ducting... (the part that sticks out further than the hub.) Quote
KE30=LEGENDARY Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 ooh and on my spare parts beater, they cut those parts off the calipers to fit the meshies it had on it, might be an option too. Quote
