Ramsay Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Hey boy thanks for the specs I'm really thinkin about the 20valve as long as it will bult right in how much work would it to be to super charge it  thanks Quote
Tiger Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) No disrespect, but if you haven't had a look at the FAQ, here Or.. the SEARCH option is a good one too. Edited October 19, 2005 by Tiger Quote
Redwarf Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) You would also need to have it engineered if you z it. Not sure about the 20 valve conversion. Mate, trust me, you don't need forced induction on a 20 valve if you're used to a 4afe. You also don't really need to rebuild it. Just slot the bastard in. Oh, and I hope you have a large wallet. Clown Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 you sound like your better off and selling the car and getting something thats allready charged or what ever. Quote
Tazz Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 if you're doing the work yourself go nuts. if not the buy something that's already been done. too much money, will be much cheaper to buy a car thats finished. trust me on that one. and also 20v is great fun. nothing better than that feeling after chirping 3rd with 205's... ahh memories. you'd be amazed at the stock power they produce. i went from a smallport and i think its bucketloads of fun compared to the 16v. Redwarf Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 (edited) and sooo...... 20v and/or SC Dude, you really need to set a budget on these things, saying money is no object is not the way to set about it. Trust me, I've done a project or two. This isn't a bolt in drive off conversion. Edited October 20, 2005 by Redwarf Quote

ROLLN'03 Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 i think he is mainly concerned whether or not the engine will "bolt into the existing engine mounts"??? Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Yeah, he understands that there is a lot of work involved in the process. He was just mainly concerned about the engine mounts..... He doesnt want to ditch the car, as he plans to keep it because there isnt many modified versions around..... And as for the supercharger, hes crazy about boostin..... Wants to run it as a real nice sleeper style and blow away higher powered turbo cars... :harhar: Quote
Rolln16 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 (edited) :harhar: hehehe.... rarely fast...i'll take you on a straight Nick!!!hehehe And as for what higher powered cars - try ALL of them!!! Edited October 21, 2005 by Rolln16 Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Sorry, incorrect terms.... He wants to be QUICK... The main opposition around town here are Commodores, and small capacity turbo cars..... :harhar: Quote
Rolln16 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 (edited) Was only kidding Nick. my bad i guess.sorry. just defending my ride even if she's only worth a snail race. Shutting up now. Edited October 21, 2005 by Rolln16 Quote
ROLLN'03 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 He was thinking of the idea of a turbo 4age with gze bottom end, but it was stated that it would cause issues with legality in regards to emmisions...? He wants a 4age of some sort, so the only way around it is to source a 99 or 00 built 20valve engine...... I agree that FWDs arent fast, but they can be quick..... But we arent talking drag cars, just quick little around town racers....! :harhar: Quote
