JordyKE Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Hey guys, Does anyone have any clue where i can get lowering blocks for a ke26 (JAP DIFF) in MELBOURNE? I'm after about 2-2 1/2 inch. I've looked over the internet and can't find any. Tried Bursons as i thought they would have some , however they didn't. Cheers Jordy Quote

TE278U Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 rare spares in bayswater should be able to sort you out. or Autobarn. Quote
GJM85 Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Most legit part suppliers won't supply any blocks lower than 2in. Unless your good at gum work. Quote
Old fella Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 G`day mate, go to your local bloke that sells steel. Ask them for two lengths of 50 x 50 x 6 RHS cut to the length you want. You will have to drill a centre bolt hole for the spring locaters. Then go to any suspension shop and buy a set of U-bolts to suit. (possibly a trailer shop)Problem solvered. Cheers. Quote
JordyKE Posted March 22, 2011 Author Report Posted March 22, 2011 Yeah i was thinking of doing that. I have a mate who works in that type of business anyways. I just didn't know about the spring locators so i didn't want to go through with it. Do i need anything other than that? If all i need is the blocks and u-bolts to suit however low i go, then i'll just do that. Quote

Larger ones put a lot of strain on the u-bolts and can break them. Other than that its a pretty simple operation to put them in if you raise the rear end off the ground and do them while its up there. Don`t tighten the u-bolts until both blocks are installed or you may have trouble aligning the second spring. Good luck and cheers. Quote
JordyKE Posted March 22, 2011 Author Report Posted March 22, 2011 I've tried costless bolts and Csw products, both don't have 8inch long u-bolts with a 65mm distance between the rods. Haha nearly giving up. Can pay $105 for a set off that guy on here, may aswell do that. So i guess i'll only go 50mm then. dammit haha. Quote
JordyKE Posted March 22, 2011 Author Report Posted March 22, 2011 Going to take the easy way out :bash: Quote
