Please Help

I've got a 69 ke10 at the moment with a rust free body and a good interior. but the panels are up shit creek. I just want to know if I bought a 67 ke10 would every thing off the 67 mod fit on the 69?. I know its probably a noob question but if anyone could help me out it'd be much appreciated.

Afaik body panels from a 67 will fit a 69 but i think the front guards are a bit different, things like tailights and grill's etc are also different.

 

Honestly i'd rather use the '69 for parts and build the '67 :)

All the panels will fit, you may have to adjust the holes for the front quarter indicators to fit that's all.

The holes for the bumper ends are higher on the later guards.

Hey Felix, I haven't tried to put my front bumper on since I fitted the KE11 guards...

 

:hmm: I'm sure I'll get around the difference, do you really need to bother with those holes anyway?? Just fix it on the 2 main mounts and forget the side mounts I'm thinking. Anyone think that will matter?

You may get away without using the bolts on the ends of the bumper. The bumper "might" vibrate/rattle.

 

If you were pre-paint you could always weld and re-drill the bumper holes. Would stop the bumper ends twisting when using the bolts.

would there be any difference with the doors? and yeah no worries dave ill let you know what I have left when I buy it mate

The early doors will fit. The door opening handle and lock (on the inside) is different, likewise the door cards.
