SLW42 Posted August 19, 2011 Author Report Posted August 19, 2011 Who cares if it's rego'd or not dave!? Does it need to be rego'd to do skids? Tom - when I say skid for me it means doing a standstill, or circle work aka doughnuts/hoops, when I say drifting or dori it's talking about handbrake entries and clutch kicks, at speed entries etc etc, which this thing is capable of doing both By 'swapping ends' i'm assuming they're talking about swapping, say....... A vs front onto a vn/p dunnydore, or as i've seen done a ba xr front onto an au, I don't really know the commodore kids lingo persé but thats just a stab in the dark as to what it could mean Cheers t18drifts, once its done it should do an alright skid hahahaha Quote
LXY-642 Posted August 19, 2011 Report Posted August 19, 2011 I instantly thought swapping ends ment spinning out lol. I've got 2 mates with Ef/el drift cars. And 2 mates with Vl turbo wagon drift cars. And all 4 go well at high speed entry drift. If you ask me it's mostly the driver needs to know the car and how it's set up. But the other thing is. Justin is after some fun from small drifting events. Not out there to win big comps anyways. So a falcon suits what his after perfectly. Drive around on the streets without q hassle and enter the odd drift meet for some fun. Quote
abbott Posted August 19, 2011 Report Posted August 19, 2011 cool cool thats a good answer! I would genuinely (no sarcasm) like to see this thing do some proper drifting and I hope you get it happening soon! I'm more with matt on this one they talk about it when they go out driving I'm thinking it's when doing a burnout and they lose control haha I don't know. cheers Tom Quote
SLW42 Posted August 21, 2011 Author Report Posted August 21, 2011 We are talking about commodore drivers though who knows what they're on about half the time :P hahahahaha Yeah matt's exactly right I don't have anywhere near the amount of money or points on my licence for a dedicated street/drift car, and silvia's and imports get owned by our lovely police force in brissy alot more than a standard looking falcon does and will, I used to take my old one out to the skid pan at QR, and that was heaps of fun for what I wanted, and then when I had spare tires I took it to archy, Quote

They keep the homo's out of falcons :P :laff: Lol class is rarely a word assosiated with the word falcon but i'll take the complement hahahaha :D Well the actuall removing of the auto started to take place on the weekend, along with a dash harness and B.C.M replacement so cruise control is going to work for me :), got a shifter for it, newish clutch fork, and now i'm waiting for the rain to disappear so I can get under it and continue pulling the auto out of it :D. The j3 is plugged into the bottom of the computer and is ready to be plugged back in, I bought new speakers for the front doors aswell so I can play music louder while i'm working on it :P Quote
t18drifts Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 bahhhh rain pfft i gotter service plant/earthmoving gear in the rain for 7 bucks an hour id pull an auto out in the rain for manual skidz :) Quote
SLW42 Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 Hahaha I know I just don't like working on grass when it's raining without a proper jack Quote
LXY-642 Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Tarp on the grass under the car :) my driveway has grass in the middle of it. When I fitted the radius arm spacers to the patrol it was raining so I threw the tarp on the ground under the car and got under there :) Quote
SLW42 Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 Yeah normally I wouldn't care about the rain when it's on and off, but when it just hovers over and does nothing, I know i'll be mid way through pulling the auto out and it'll piss down, it'll get done as soon as I have a clear day or two. It's also helping me keep a licence by sitting there in bits hahahahaha Quote
carbonboy Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 Hahahaha who the f@$k are you!!!! Do I come onto your shit and tell you to buy a real car? I've had many corollas before hence why I bought a real car and stopped playing with toys, plus this can do what your 30/55 can do, but ten times better and not get pulled over for being a rust bucket I don't really update this thread cause of people like you Well said! We are talking about commodore drivers though who knows what they're on about half the time :P hahahahaha Again, well said! :lolcry: Hahahahahaha I despise commodores for alot of reasons but love them for one........ They keep the homo's out of falcons :P :laff: Lol class is rarely a word assosiated with the word falcon but i'll take the complement hahahaha :D Same, but for me they stop people crashing Toyotas! :P Class....depends on perspective, I'd rather Fords inline 6 than Holdens Buick Boat Anchor any day. Good work man, looking forward to seeing how you go. Deadlines...pfft! :laff: Quote
