Well I've bought a sierra halfway through a 4k conversion and wondering which gearbox this is and where I can get the mounts for it?

It is a 5 speed, thats about all I know, looks like some kind of adapter plate between the engine and bellhousing.

basically anything fit! (use the front mount witch bolts straight up into the hosuing not on the side.

aslong as its nice and thick and got a hole in the middle sould be fine. line it up with the x member/drill the holes and she'll be sweet

i used a engine mount out of a booze bus generator i found at work :lolcry:

Ahh ok, I didn't realise it bolted up through, should be right now.

Is it worth putting a build thread on here for the sierra would anyone be interested?

Yes please do!

i would love to see the build thread.

may i ask why k motor is such a popular conversion into the ol' sierras?

mate of mine has a sierra (1996 i think) and the little 1.3 carby appears to be quite a bit more powerful than the 4k?

I guess because they are easy to find and cheap to get parts for and that stuff. I bought the car with the 4k in it but dodigly mounted and wired, fixing it all up now.

The previous sierra I had had the G13a in it and that revved like no tomorrow but loved to smoke.
