teza40 Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 Hi...has been a long while since last post on this, have had a huge stroke of luck recently. My daughter (who this is being done for) got a loan of $500 from her mother ( x wife of mine),this has allowed me too move forward on this project nicely . So far purchased a new black carpet from a memeber on here, 4 litres of wild violet metallic paint and thinners for the job, pair of new door rubber seals, radiator for the auto and rear bar brackets from clapped out another member on here, with a small amount left to purchase side window rubber and a auto brake pedal pad. Yes i have still been spending my dollars on it where needed....lol..... At time of posting this- right front fender-both doors-tailgate and roof are painted, still more rust section repair work to do around side windows (this weekend 5-6th) and some small repair work on the left fender before finalise paint on rear 1/4`s and sills, bonnet inside and outside along with the left fender. Leaving car until after roadworthy/rego for clear coat-due to a small bit of custom paint i wish to do on it... Will be a busy time end of this month to get this done...and on the road.. enjoy the pic`s Quote
teza40 Posted January 4, 2013 Author Report Posted January 4, 2013 More pics, very happy with the way the custom tailgate came out finally!! There was some work in it to make it so straight....being a dark colour i have tried to get the whole car as straight as possible...some places bit wobbly but meh...it is destined to live outside everyday in the hands of my daughter...and so far as I'm concerned..there is no such thing as perfection for a daily driver... teza40 Posted January 5, 2013 Author Report Posted January 5, 2013 Hi, Thankyou B.L.BUB,Trev and Clapped Out. Yes trev i try not to be a serial posting pest lol,had been a while since anything worth posting up- sure didnt like the loss of 5 months of working on this due to shoulder surgery=making up for lost time now tho. Todays effort-side window metal replacement-original metal had loads of pin hole rust in the flat sections near where the rubber seal fits.So fix it was on the cards for sure. Enjoy Teza40 evry year i ask myself- how old is too old to be still messing with cars :) Quote

teza40 Posted January 8, 2013 Author Report Posted January 8, 2013 Work done over the last few days, only a few hours here n there during the week before going to regular suck job. Fixed the top outer corners of the tailgate, gave a little lick of the wild violet.Have bogged bogged n more bog n sanded sanded back the areas around the new repairs for side windows... Not as good as i want them yet tho getting there....as they say everything looks good from a distance.. Also started the wild violet intrusion into the rear inner metal work of passenger/cargo area of the van.. Enjoy Teza40 Quote
