love ke70 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 hey mate, ive got an engine hoist, but might be a bit of a trek for ya down here. maybe someone further up can help you out? Â you really should have put this in members rides, maybe someone will move it soon, mods are usually pretty good on these sorta things... Â good luck with it all, don't rush and you will end up with a nice little car, just know what you want, and how your gonna do it, before you do anything you can undo easily :) Â and might be a bit late, but all those different nuts bolts and screws, try collect a bunch of containers, like old bean tins or soup tins etc, and keep all the bolts from each thing seperate, so much easier to put shit back then :) Â cheers, andy Quote
kpope18 Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 cheers andy is it easy to fold down cuz if so any chance that i could borrow it at some point and yeah just gotta get the back windscreen out and the motor then its good to start sanding back Quote
love ke70 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 yeah mate, its a foldable trade tools one. Â pretty sure its the same as what mungi mods rents out. Â if you do borrow it, don't be offended if i take a bit of collateral, incase it doesnt come back home? Â and how long would you want it for? Â cheers, andy Quote
kpope18 Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 all i need it for is to take the motor out and drop it on the back of my ute so i can take it to the wreckers thats it Quote
love ke70 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 just enough so i will know you'll be coming back :P Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 With the amount of sh1t you've stripped off the motor 2 dudes should lift it out no probs, even with the gear box still attached. Â Or drop it out the bottom  Quote
kpope18 Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 the problem is that i live in a set of units and there is no room to move the motor so what i was going to do is rais it up and back my ute on and drop it on the tray and how much cuz i got no idea ay Quote
kpope18 Posted February 26, 2011 Author Report Posted February 26, 2011 Just took out the back windscreen what a sh!t of a job Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 (edited) If you can get the car high enough on axle stands you should be able to unbolt the x member and drop the engine on a trolly jack. Â Where abouts on the coast are you? I'm a local too. Â And I live in a town house, small garage, sucks aye! Edited February 26, 2011 by blzbub666 Quote
