jono1986 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 hmmm... do you think he'll be brave enough to tell us if TRD was right and he made a major mistake?? Car Electrics 101.... Fail!~ Nuh, to be honest with you it was a simple mistake.....it does say Positive and Negative on the coil so I would understand the confusion. Quote

Chillin Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 I feel like a gimp, even worse i work in electronics..... just not cars. so how do i wire it in so that it will not short? cheers guys Quote
TRD ke70 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 just a power to the positive side of the coil, the coil negative goes to the dizzy. and hopefully it starts. the dizzy/ points is the switch/contacts to spark the coil. hope like hell it starts it!! Quote
jono1986 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Positive side of coil to ballist then to ignition Negative to wire coming from distributor. Quote
Chillin Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 will give it a go, cheers dudes Quote
Andy43 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) why would you run the negative side of the coil to the battery? :bash: take it off, you are just shorting the coil out!! Sound like a new way to reduce the back emf off the coil. Edited February 28, 2011 by Andy43 Quote
altezzaclub Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 I feel like a gimp, even worse i work in electronics..... just not cars. Oh the irony! I'll bet you never forget how it goes together after this! If that is the solution, well done TRD !! Quote
