jimi91 Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 hmmmm sounds like a fair bit of work for a ke10 :blinks: What about a r31 lsd diff ???? could that work or would that be to big and that :hmm: see ya jimi Quote
Jono.C Posted June 3, 2011 Author Report Posted June 3, 2011 They're a really wide diff, ADM ae86 diff is like butter, Ta22 or Te72 T series seems like the go Quote
jimi91 Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Oh ok bugger :hmm: yeah so ive heard but to find any of them in lsd is near impossible and heaps expensive  see ya jimi Quote
KENut Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 I know of a KE10 with an r31 diff. Wouldnt you have to get an AE86 or T series shortened anyway? So r31 might end up similar in cost Quote
jimi91 Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 yeah thats what i thought but idk maybe r31 might be a bit over kill :lolcry: see ya jimi Quote
Jono.C Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 Nah, ta22 diff isn't THAT much wider than ke10. i had both side by side and the ta22 diff was only 25mm per side wider. R31 diff's are heavy and the rear brakes are too big to fit the 13's i want to run. I had a quote and it 1750 to have one shortened because it'd need billet axles Quote

Jono.C Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 You can buy lsd's for ta22 diff's ;) The lsd in the r31's is pree shizz to be honest. None of that soft lsd'ness here though, minispooled is the way to go  Quote
Jono.C Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 Cheers evan, looks about right. And lol who likes freespoolin'? :P Quote
abbott Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 That diff looks like it fits pretty well! Are ke10s and ke15s the same width or a bit different? Quote
Jono.C Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 Same width i'd imagine, although from the look of that it has pumped guards, looks as though i might fit 9.5 steelies under my flares after all :P Quote

Na minispool are not good for me cause ill spin out or snap something lol :lolcry: see ya jimi Quote
Jordain Posted June 5, 2011 Report Posted June 5, 2011 I went through all this... R31's have a conical LSD so if you plan on doing burnouts don't go with an r31. Go R31 if you want a nice disc brake diff, but if it doesn't fit under your rims then scrap it. T series AE86 diff and shorten the housings yourself and then get the axles resplined = cheap. Minispool or virtually locked LSD yo. Quote
