They're 10b/11 indicators. I cracked a factory one on mine, chrome was still good, so I bought the Thai ones and fitted them. Look alright but they fade in sunlinght.

 

Old ones look much sleeker but I've never seen a repro one.

It sucks because when i was at high school we had the gear to plastic mould stuff, So i could have made a couple of pairs of repro lenses

In other news, I now have a 5kc somewhere under the 1/2 a tonne of grease and oil sitting in the yard.. :P

So, They mixed my paint wrong. Gay.

 

It's this sort of off white gloss colour..

 

Not the matte green like i asked and supplied a sample of..

 

Looks like no painting this weekend...

Haha. When i picked up the paint he said "This is as close as we could ever get it" Now i'm thinking i bloody well hope not!? haha

Hmm. Had a look at my 5k today, Started to spin the crankshaft and it only spins 180 degrees and stops :/

 

I'm wondering if it's 180 out and piston is tapping the valves.. I hope not :/

Yeah tell me about it :/ Loose night last night went wrong as well

 

And now it's raining so, 1: I can't finish the bodywork i did yesterday, 2: I can't get the head off the engine to see what's wrong with it and 3: I can't work on the celica :/

 

I'm needing a pair of ke30/70 front hubs if anyone has any?

5k's all stripped down. It worried me that even with the head off the block would still not spin more than 180 degrees

So i pulled the off, and out came this shit?

Basically like beach sand/ rocks.. Thinking it might be some stop leak crap or something as it was all in the water system

Turns out, there was water in one cylinder which had rusted the rings and virtually siezed one of the pistons. (number 3)

 

So entire rebuild is now on, block is being honed, 32/36 weber being bought + extractors to have a decent n/a motor while i source the turbo and efi gear
