Nice score.

Other M series engines fit without too much drama.

1UZ struggles thanks to the chassis / suspension set up. Engine is too wide. LS1 fits nice though I believe :)

couldn't find a pic of one in adelaide that was wearing 15x7 0-offset dragways, but they did stick out unmolestered guards a bit.....

Great find on the cheap!

Sounds like you have good plans for her. How about an improved suspension and chassis setup? Just so it'll handle better. Could make a nice little sleeper.

hi guys , i have been looking at the motor side of things and getting paint quotes sorted out should go for paint around the end of July, I'm still trying to decide what motor to go with its between na 1jz and 5mge , kinda leaning towards the 5mge because its sooo much easier i don't want to start another long project but 1jz sound so good lol

Why not go 7M-GTE? It's newer and there are probably more aftermarket parts for them than a 5M. But... Might as well go 1J or 2J if you'd go as far as 7M.

If it were me I'd put a carbied 5M N/A screamer in. Just because N/A is so much cooler!

Nothing wrong with the M series engines, head gaskets are a factory fault which you can fix completely by changing the head gasket, cleaning/skimming the surfaces, buying new head bolts and actually tensioning them properly.

I dare say that people will get sick of seeing a J series in crowns & cressidas soon, keep it authentic, go with the M series :y:
