Clown Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Just took off my stock wheel, just wondering what wheel everyone is using. Quote
mumblezzz Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Heh I use an AW11 one in the KE70. Shits over the stock wheel. Quote
Ke50 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 KE50 wheels are just about as big as a gts monaro example, if you ever did see something so big! Quote
Super Jamie Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 boss kits and aftermarket wheels mostly  i might try and get my hands on an rn85 hilux wheel, i liked the one in my truck Quote

reCOUPErator Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 autotechnica wheel and boss kit! (althou the paint has faded/ worn off the centre of tha wheel) Quote
kangaroosa Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Not sure what brand it is. I bought it second hand with boss kit for $50. I have seen the wheel in Autobarn for $280. Quote
Clown Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 no, all toyota splines are the same bah should proof read my posts before hitting submit i ment to say I'm gathering it doesn't. Bought a nardi wheel but after removing stock wheel and using the ex's boss kit on the nardi wheel it sits at annoying height etc. might see if i can palm it off for a mr2 or ae82 sx wheel. Quote
Xany Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 hmmm.....interesting.... i just realised that i could probably use a nice later style toyota wheel instead of my shitty dented woodgrain one.....and it would be adr approved.... however i've known for a while that all toyota splines are the same.....why did i only think of that then.....lol Quote
mumblezzz Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Clown: If the wheel sits too close to the indicator stalk, try looking for an AE86 boss. They use a similar steering column and the boss should be longer. Xany: The splines are the same but the little holes for the plastic knobs to make the self cancelling indicators work are different on some models. I drilled a couple of little holes in my AE86 boss kit to bolt it onto the cressida. otherwise it works fine. Quote
NoPsi Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 In the hilux I run an Autotechnica woodgrain wheel I've had since I was 18. The boss kit was designed for an ae82 it has also run on my ae86 and now serves on hiluxes after I drilled two extra holes for the indicator switch off thingies. I had a Momo in the Datsun that I picked up at the importers for $120. Quote
Clown Posted October 11, 2005 Author Report Posted October 11, 2005 the wheel sits way to high and way to far from inidcator stalk etc. Quote
