BUZ440 Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 heh if you like bro, i live at number 380 to be exact, reed will be here too unless he bitches out :P well I did power on past this morning, stoopid thing is too light it don't leave any marks on the road too dangerous in the wet last night, and i was injured from sports also Quote
Ella Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 All good reed ended up bleeding my frickin brakes anyways, wow super hard pedal is winnah!! Bonnet is painted too, was doing this when Carlos boosted up the road past my place haha. Now all i really have to do is sort out my vacumn lines then muck about with the rear end and fuel tank. Going to clean out the fuel tank with some kero, and put in some taller springs and shocks for rego. I have the vacumn manifold to install and possibly enough lines to sort the system out but if not i can likely buy more lines and some t pieces. Starting to really look like itll be finished very soon :) Quote
Ella Posted May 24, 2011 Author Report Posted May 24, 2011 test fitted the globes this evening... they will be going back on as soon as rego is achieved! Quote
Ella Posted May 26, 2011 Author Report Posted May 26, 2011 Ok so done a little more before it got too cold, my vacuum manifold is plumbed up.... Mostly. There is a heater hose coming out of the back of the water pump, it just sligghtly gets in the way of popping the vacuum line onto the first cylinder lol. Hope i don't have to take the inlet off to make it get on lol Quote
abbott Posted May 26, 2011 Report Posted May 26, 2011 Loving progress mate! bet your getting excited now! Quote
Ella Posted May 29, 2011 Author Report Posted May 29, 2011 ok so a little more has been achieved. now all thats left to do is hook all the vacuumn lines up and shes ready to be wireded up!! Quote
Ella Posted May 29, 2011 Author Report Posted May 29, 2011 (edited) got more done today, shes up at a legal height now, bonnet needs to be bolted down properly (its loose) and i gotta sort that annoying vacumn line out! took some happy snaps of her, hope you guys like my "rego wheels" lol. kinda diggen them to the point they may stay on the car a bit :) First photo features my puppy whos getting much bigger now Edited May 29, 2011 by Ella Quote
BUZ440 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Hmmm can i borrow those rims to match my venetian in the back? Just need someone to get in the back to put it in tho, haha and you can chuck on my 16's it would suit it to a dime me says Quote
Mason. Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 man, i would kill for thoses wheels :) sell them to the kid with no money? Quote
Ella Posted May 30, 2011 Author Report Posted May 30, 2011 lol why does everyone like my nanna spec skidders?? they are shit skidders nothing more. I have "good" wheels (my globes) to put on once rego and shit is achieved, also posess much lower stiffer springs, etc but for now itll look like this. might even have to go back to a alloy as i bet rego wont like the spacers i had to run to fit my steelies. my mess that is vacumn lines is now sorted out too. XF falcon vacumn manifold FTW. Now all that remains (something which i forgot) is to chop down my thermofans shrouding to fit my radiator (ef falcon thermos are much bugger than V6 camry rad haha). anybody got any ideas for fitting the rad? its a bit weird cause the pins sit down in the middle of the bottom the rad support where it sits low, the sides of it sit up too high so i can't just drill holes in the undertray to fit them into it. need to weld some bits in i think. didnt really wanna weld anything :( Quote
BUZ440 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 I don't want to skid them i want to make mine granny spec, if thats possible, having a fridge out the front does not help you can make some steel plates, bolt them to the top and yeah bolt it up, mine is done like that, i am looking to upgrade to an ally unit soon tho Quote
Ella Posted May 30, 2011 Author Report Posted May 30, 2011 Mine already is alloy lol. Might work on it a bit tonight, see how cold it is... Do you run a silvia rad?' Quote
BUZ440 Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Modded holden 6 cylinder unit, works a treat, just looks ugly, haha Quote
Ella Posted May 31, 2011 Author Report Posted May 31, 2011 Eeeww lol how unefficient lol. Can i have a look sometime at how it mounts? Quote
