ke70dave Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 165 tyres???? why not just buy one of these. if your going to get new wheels, and new tyre at least make them grip better than the standard items. Quote
LittleRedSpirit Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Agree with Dave, the point surely must be enhanced handling and safety while driving. Otherwise what is the point? Looks. Too much stretch is ridiculous to look at. If you want the stretch look but can only afford sub 6 inch rims, you better keep saving for a few more weeks and buy something you can stretch at least a 195 onto. Quote
abel00 Posted February 3, 2011 Author Report Posted February 3, 2011 ok guys. i know i can buy new rims but this is only my daily and i got the rims free thats y I'm using them, i want to do it on the cheap as I'm spending all my money on my build. thanks for all the feed back but i was really hoping to find some lower profile tyres for these wheels, but after calling around and researching today i can't find shit. does anyone know of an exact tyre available and in aus that is around a 165 55 13. if so i would love to know where i can get it cause I'm struggling. thanks for all the replies, cheers Quote
SkidzMgee Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Ring Bob Janes and ask for something in that size, as I think Pirelli might do one. If not, then I think your next closest would be a 165/60 that might be available in other brands. Not too sure as I don't work for em anymores Quote
abel00 Posted February 4, 2011 Author Report Posted February 4, 2011 all done guys. thanks for ur help. got four new 155 65 13 for 250 fitted. they r a little stretched and came out great. thanks for all the help Quote
madKE35coupe Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 ah well i was just about to say if you want the ass end to look abit fatter i got 205/60R13 tyres for the back of my coupe, makes it look abit tougher Quote
abel00 Posted February 6, 2011 Author Report Posted February 6, 2011 yeah a wider tyre is always a tough look but i my goal was to get a smaller wall height. which as it turns out very hard in a 13 but I'm happy with the results. Quote
coln72 Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Loved the old days when 225/60 13's were easy to get hold of....... They bagged up nice on a 6" rim. Quote
anastasios Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 I really think you are wasting your time going for the stretched look, good luck going around corners in the wet as well lol Just go for a normal sized tyre and save up for something else. We will still think your illest don't worry Quote
